News: Share This Button

My blog maintains a very clean appearance. I like that because it offsets the insanity in both my daily life and the randomness of the majority of my blogposts. Lately, with the increasing traffic finding its way, ive been looking for ways to make it easier for people to post my posts to their bookmarking sites as well as other sites in the same vein.

Enter ShareThis. This nifty little link, located next to the comments and posted by crap at the end of each post, makes it possible for my valued readers to not only add my posts to their bookmarking sites, but also gives them capability to post to myspace, facebook, stumble, as well as emailing all from one little button.

So distribute and enjoy my little darlings. Because I have enough craziness to make the rounds a couple times.

Video: Profanity

In memory of George Carlin

Gotta love it. And, since we're on the subject of profanity, Blink 182, on a compilation lovingly entitled "Short Music for Short People" made this delightful little ditty, which one can only assume was inspired the late great Carlin. Family Reunion, with its catchy little jingle is guaranteed to stay with you forever.

According to Wiki:

"Family Reunion" is a 36 second song by blink-182 consisting mostly of profanity. Clearly inspired by the 10 word version of George Carlin's Seven Words You Can Never Say, the band has been playing the song since their Cheshire Cat days.

The song was recorded in the studio for Short Music for Short People, an album released in 1999 for Fat Wreck Chords and appears on the band's live album, released in 2000, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show: The Enema Strikes Back.

The only words that are not 'profanities' are 'and', 'my', 'too', 'I', 'your', 'dad', 'mom' and the entire last line; although in some circles the words 'fart', 'suck' and 'turd' may only be considered minorly offensive and not actual profanities.

In some music stores such as Music World and HMV, the song is completely removed in the listening booths while other songs remain intact because of the offensive terms.

So now, without Further ado, I present you, your verbal bashing for the day

One of the many reels from Psst! Pass It On

Badass: Dead Birds and Entertainment

So this morning I get to work, and as is my routine when i do so, the first thing that i do, is pour myself a cup of coffee and walk out back to warehouse for my 'breakfast' smoke. Most days, this simple act is incredibly uneventful, and rarely merits mention in any of my conversations, let alone my writing.

What makes to today different you ask?

Well, when i opened the warehouse back door, staring up at me, from the floor, was a beautiful and serene albeit very dead dead bird. Its not exactly surprising that my new little avian friend met his match against our upper floor office windows (the crash spot smears were there to prove it), since 3.5 million birds die per year by crashing into windows and glass panes. And, no, the image is not the bird we found, because before i was able to take a picture, his feathery little carcass was thrown in our lagoon (why yes we do have a lagoon outback)and back into the circle of life as a hearty healthy meal for our little gators (yes, we have gators too).

Anywho, in case it hasn't been perceived yet, this post is absolutely pointless.
So to give it a point, Ill provide you fine readers with links and shit to some of the things that have been filling my life with joy and wonder, or whatever.

About This Blog

My small contribution to wide world of sharing useless, random, pointless, yet interesting information across the web. A shameless plug for my awesomeness. A collection of random and amazing things.

I write reviews, I write stories, I write about my daily occurences, I complain about everything. I have a few blogs throughout the world, but this one is my favorite, mostly because it's mine.

Words Of Wisdom

Both reading and writing are acts of supreme faith. They are both, in essence, a call to grace, a belief in the miraculous - that we might come to see through stories what we had not previously seen, that we might come to understand what had, before that moment, remained uncertain, undefined. The mask of fiction, of writing and reading stories, does not, in the end, disguise our faces but instead reveals who we really are. In the, stories acknowledge life's difficulty and sadness but insist that we go on anyway, that we always hold to our faith, to our belief in grace.
